Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCUJob Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM • 3x12 schedule with every other weekend coverage required • Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends • Float required to Telemetry and Medical/Surgical units as needed (1:5/1:6 ratio on these units) • No call required • 24 hours of orientation provided • 2 years of nursing experience required • PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required • First-time travelers accepted • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms • Scrubs not provided - Caribbean blue required • Must have either compact license or Maryland license • Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery • Perform bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients, chest tube management, PCA infusions, non-titratable drips, and IV infusions • Equipment includes ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment • Two supervisory references required including one from most recent assignmentFacility: This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate care for adult patients requiring closer monitoring than general medical/surgical units but not intensive care. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
