This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the building, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a safe, compliant, and functional condition to support high-quality resident care.As the Director of Maintenance, you will lead the maintenance department, manage preventative maintenance programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and respond to facility needs in a timely and effective manner. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all equipment, machinery, and appliances are properly maintained, repaired, or replaced as neededMaintain facility and grounds in a safe, clean, and orderly condition at all timesDevelop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance programConduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concernsEnsure compliance with life safety codes, fire safety regulations, and facility policiesConduct and document required fire drills and safety proceduresSupervise maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, performance management, and disciplineMaintain inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, and toolsOrganize and manage department documentation, including reports, logs, and regulatory recordsCollaborate with leadership and other departments to support operational needsAssist in managing resident personal property related to maintenance and storage needsEnsure all maintenance work meets quality standards and regulatory expectationsParticipate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent facility needs as requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care settingWorking knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, and general facility maintenancePrevious supervisory or leadership experience preferredStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsBasic computer skills for documentation and reportingAbility to work independently and lead a team effectivelyMust be available for on-call responsibilities and emergency responseBenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Supportive and collaborative work environmentGrow With UsAt Heritage Grove Estates, we are committed to developing our leaders.
