Systems Engineer

Overview In this role you will lead test and evaluation for the Javelin Seeker program within QinetiQ US, guiding verification, qualification, and contractor testing across the acquisition lifecycle. You will act as a technical advisor to government and industry, coordinating multi-agency testing and ensuring traceability from requirements to test results. You will partner with Army stakeholders to align T&E plans with risk and decision milestones, shaping the path to system qualification. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence defense systems, EO/IR payloads, and sensor integration at scale. ResponsibilitiesAuthor and maintain T&E strategy and plans aligned with system specs and RVTMLead T&E WIPTs and chair TRRs; participate in SFRs, PDRs, CDRs, and technical meetingsManage RVTM and ensure end-to-end verification and requirements closureEnsure traceability between system requirements, verification methods, and test resultsCoordinate test resources with Army and lab stakeholders; schedule within IMSProvide oversight of contractor-performed tests and assess test documentation for rigor and complianceWitness on-site and lab tests; monitor data collection for independent assessmentsLead investigations for test anomalies and corrective actionsIdentify and track T&E risks and mitigation plansSummarize test data and risks for executive briefings and MDAs Key requirementsBachelor of Science in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, or Systems Engineering; equivalent military experience considered7+ years in progressive systems engineering and T&E for defense programsExperience supporting acquisition-level qualification, verification, and T&E across full life cycleKnowledge of U.S. Army T&E processes and coordination with ATEC/RTCAbility to lead complex T&E efforts with limited day-to-day directionExperience developing or reviewing test plans, procedures, readiness docs, and test reports for complex defense systemsExperience with EO/IR systems, seekers, sensors, or electro-optical payloadsStrong briefing, analytical, and technical writing skillsActive DoD Secret clearanceStrong communication and briefing skillsAnalytical thinkingAbility to manage cross-functional teamsMATLABPythontelemetry processing software
