Carpenter Carpenter Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with strong experience in ground-up residential construction. This role performs cementitious siding installations for new home builds as team member of a field crew, and ensures that all work meets quality, safety, and scheduling expectations. The ideal candidate is proficient in all phases of new construction from layout and framing through exterior finishes. Carpenter Service Area The position’s reporting office is in Stuart, FL. Carpenter Job Responsibilities Perform cementitious siding installation on new residential construction. Use advanced carpentry tools, machinery, and layout techniques accurately and efficiently. Conduct quality checks throughout construction phases to ensure industry-leading standards. Effective member of a team. Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented work environment. Coordinate daily operations with site supervisors and project managers. Work closely with other subcontractors to maintain schedule flow. Review construction plans, elevation drawings, and engineering details to anticipate issues and prevent delays. Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly staged. Comply with OSHA and company safety standards at all times. Conduct routine job-site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance. Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, scaffolding, and PPE. Inspect completed work for accuracy, durability, and adherence to plans. Maintain records of daily progress and communicate updates to management. Report any structural or design inconsistencies and help develop solutions. Maintaining positive relationships with customer’s supervisors, installers, suppliers and other subcontractors. Scheduling material delivery, quality control, punch-out and managing key relationships. Must fully understand safety policies and uphold quality and industry standard requirements. Responsible for inventory of tools and equipment on installation crew’s truck. Ensures security, integrity and confidentiality of data. Other duties as assigned by management. Carpenter Education and Experience Minimum two (2) years of cementitious siding installation.. Minimum two (2) years of experience in residential construction projects. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong ability to read blueprints, site plans, and engineering drawings. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to speak English; bi-lingual with Spanish a plus. Prefer experience with multi-home production building, custom home construction, and multi-family construction. Prefer OSHA 10 or 30 certification. Prefer trade school certificate, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent technical training. Prefer experience with house wrap, windows, doors, and decking. Prefer experience estimating work. Proficient with email and telephone skills. Prefer MS Office, estimating, project management software experience. Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to meet specific deadlines. Able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment. Good analytical skills, able to make sound decisions utilizing the data at hand. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships. Strong organizational and planning skills. Carpenter Physical Demands May require heavy lifting up to 75 pounds. May require climbing ladder up to 30 feet. May require exposure to weather and temperature extremes. May require prolonged standing. May require extensive walking over rough terrain and construction zones. May require protective clothing and equipment e.g., hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, steel-toe boots. May require travel.
