Job Overview
The Outside Sales role will develop and deliver on opportunities for corporate and enterprise level access control and surveillance solutions. Collaborating with both the customer and TCH team to design solutions with the top brands in equipment, software and services. Including cloud and on-premises solutions using traditional and mobile credentials.
This person will have a strong business development acumen and primary focus on building and maintaining customer relationships with companies with multiple locations looking for a single provider and single interface to secure their employees, customers, and assets. This role is base salary plus commission (pay listed above is total comp (base + commission).
Our commission program does not have a ceiling; therefore, allowing employees to drive their earning potential. The program has bonuses built in for reaching different levels of performance.
Identify, develop and maintain existing and new relationships with NA customers
Estimate job costs, provide written quotes and change orders
Ensure exceptional service by interacting with customers, manufacturers, architects and co-workers
Research and problem solve unique customer issues and needs
Provide timely project updates to customers
Perform quantity take-offs, ensuring accuracy and proper product mix
Keep projects on schedule, and maintain accurate delivery dates
Work with Senior System Engineer on detailed shop drawings for projects awarded to TCH as necessary
Analyze specifications to ensure products fit the applications
Attend internal and external training to increase product knowledge of the door and hardware industry
Attend monthly IAS Sales meetings and other meetings as required
Work with Accounting to ensure accurate job invoicing, obtain bid bonds, or any special paperwork needs as required
Visit job sites and client offices as necessary
Develop and partner with NA manufacturer’s programs
Coordinate with the Director of NA to identify and pursue opportunities
Coordinate with Purchasing Dept for adequate inventory levels for NA customer commitments
Other duties as required
Skills Requirements
Inside/outside sales experience
Experience selling Doors/ Hardware, preferred
Experience with access control and video surveillance systems, preferred
Familiar with commercial construction projects such as retail, manufacturing, hospitality, multifamily, health care, and mixed use
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively maintaining multiple projects and strict deadlines
Strong cognitive skills including; problem analysis, decision making and comprehension
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proficient with computer software in a Windows/ Google based environment
Strong presentation skills
Ability to travel that may include overnights
Valid Driver’s License
Favorable results from a criminal background check, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
Working Conditions
Office environment with extended periods of computer work with ability to sit or stand. Periodic site visits which may be dusty or loud and require walking on a variety of surfaces and the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
