Yard & Tank Laborer

Job Title: Yard & Tank Laborer Overview Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for a Yard and Tank Laborer to fill a seasonal opening. Safety Expectations All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit-Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others. Responsibilities Facility maintenance Responsible for tanks/facility Grounds keeping Load and unload trucks Basic troubleshooting Required Skills and Abilities Reliable transportation to and from work Strong work ethic Physical organization and time management Flexibility in hours – overtime and weekend hours may be necessary Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted Consent to a DMV license evaluation Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting Other Preferred Qualities Ability to read and understand SDS Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) High school diploma or GED – a two year technical degree is preferred Basic math skills Position is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame. Site specific locations may have varying seasonal requirements that can extend or contract these timeframes.
