Oncology/Hematology diagnoses are the primary group of patients we serve. In addition, it specializes in surgical oncology which includes patients requiring surgical interventions related to head and neck cancers, gynecological cancers, and breast cancers. Our team strives to provide the optimal patient experience and healthy work environment for the staff. The fast-paced environment offers opportunities to provide compassionate care, grow clinical skills using evidence-based practice, and participate in research and decision making through our Nurse Practice Council. * Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. * Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. * Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. * Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. * Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesOrganizational and multi-tasking skills Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures Ability to work as a Team player within a unit Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes EducationAssociate's of Nursing [Required] Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred] Work Experience1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred] Additional InformationAdditional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
