Micro-Cap Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a fast-growing construction and manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead its accounting and financial operations.The RoleThis is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all accounting, finance, and payroll functions across the organization.The Senior Accounting Manager will play a critical role in establishing financial strategy, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial performance, support decision-making, and maintain a strong financial foundation for a rapidly evolving business.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys building and leading high-performing teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting and financial operations including general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, and revenue recognitionPartner with executive leadership to drive P&L performance and support strategic decision-makingDevelop financial forecasts, KPIs, and reporting insights to guide business performanceOversee month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliationsEnsure compliance with US GAAP and all regulatory requirementsDevelop and strengthen internal controls, policies, and proceduresManage cash flow forecasting and working capital planningLead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecastingAnalyze variances and provide actionable recommendationsOversee job costing and percentage-of-completion (WIP) accountingSupport operational teams with financial insights tied to project performanceMonitor customer aging and manage collections processesHire, lead, and develop accounting, project accounting, and payroll teamsBuild scalable processes and systems to support continued growthManage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other external stakeholdersEnsure timely and accurate reporting to external partiesExperience & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field requiredCPA and/or CMA strongly preferred; MBA is a plus5–10+ years of accounting and financial management experience within construction, manufacturing, or project-based environmentsExperience with job costing and percentage-of-completion (WIP) accountingUnderstanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standardsExperience building and leading teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentStrong financial acumen with the ability to connect financial data to operational decisionsProficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsWork EnvironmentOffice-based role with regular interaction across operations and leadership teamsFast-paced, growth-oriented environment with high visibility and impactOpportunity to help shape financial infrastructure within a scaling organizationCompensationBase salary range: $130k-$170k depending on experience
