We are currently seeking a professional and dynamic part-time (38 hours) store sales supervisor for our Home Store (Portland, OR) location. location. Applicants must be flexible to work varying schedules: holidays, days, nights and/or weekends. Please be sure to include a complete resume when applying.Job DescriptionSupport the company expectation and achieve sales and profitability through driving product knowledge, exceptional customer service, and sales.Maintain store visual objectives and housekeeping expectations.Provide positive feedback and in the moment coaching with sales staff, encourage positive selling and customer service behaviors.Consistent written and verbal communication with store management.Reads and responds or reacts timely and clearly to all written and verbal communication, including from customers, corporate partners or other store locations.Responsible for shift opening and closing store functions.Creates and executes daily planner and communicates expectations with staff.Responsible for shift inventory processing, receiving in, transferring out activities, order fulfillments and shipping.Complies with all company policies and procedures and ensures store team is compliant.Completes sales transactions with efficiency from end to end.Escalate store issues in a timely manner; problem solve and actively recommend solutions or improvements.Other tasks as assigned.Job ExpectationsSelf-motivated, sales driven and prioritizes customer serviceSupports a team environmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsEffective problem solving skillsMeets deadlines when manager is not presentComputer/POS systems and software skillsAble to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekendsProven ability to communicate effectively with store employees, management and customers. Partner with store management to find solutions for improvements.Job Qualifications3 years retail sales or customer service including a minimum of 2 years store supervisionMust practice effective verbal and written communication skillsMust be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionSystem QualificationsMicrosoft office including excel, publisher and wordRetail inventory software and order processing systemsUnderstand the POS system and other software used by the storesPhysical Demands And Working EnvironmentFlexible schedule with nights, holidays and weekend shifts per scheduling guidelines.Physical dexterity and stamina to reach and lift to complete visual presentations and/or store set up.Ability to lift up to 40lbs.Reaching arms over head, ladder use, computer operation, continuous standing and walking, hand coordination, telephone use, speaking, reading, writing.We are an equal opportunity employer.
