The company has demonstrated significant impact, such as cutting hypersonic vehicle program lead times from over nine months to six weeks and reducing component mass through advanced design and manufacturing techniques.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist role based in Carson, CA. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision components for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and specifications. Daily responsibilities include selecting appropriate tooling, performing machine offsets and adjustments, monitoring machining operations, and conducting in-process inspections to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards. The role involves collaborating with engineering and production teams, interpreting technical documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of machining processes and workflows. The CNC Machinist will also perform routine maintenance on equipment, follow safety and cleanliness guidelines, and accurately document production activities and quality results.Qualifications Strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery, including setup, adjustment, and routine maintenance of CNC equipment.Proficiency in Machining and Milling, with experience producing precision components to tight tolerances.Experience with Quality Control, including measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and inspection procedures.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.Familiarity with CNC programming basics (e.g., G-code) and working with multi-axis machines is beneficial.Background in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments preferred.Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or apprenticeship in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
