Opportunity for Maternal-Fetal Medicine PhysicianLocation: Phoenix, ArizonaWe are a nonprofit, integrated medical group comprising over 450 healthcare providers across more than 25 specialties, dedicated to serving the greater Phoenix area. We are currently looking for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to become part of our collaborative and mission-oriented team at Valleywise Health Medical Center (VHMC).This role emphasizes a consultation-driven MFM practice, presenting a distinctive chance to provide specialized care without the responsibilities of delivering babies. Physicians in this position will concentrate on high-risk obstetric consultations, advanced ultrasound techniques, prenatal diagnostics, and collaborative care. The practice is designed to promote both clinical excellence and a healthy work-life balance.VHMC acts as the safety-net hospital for Maricopa County, catering to a diverse and medically intricate patient demographic. MFM physicians will engage with patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings and will share home call duties for VHMC and the Arizona Perinatal Program. The clinical program encompasses comprehensive high-risk obstetric services, including ultrasound, diagnostic evaluations, genetic counseling, and diabetes education, enabling physicians to fully utilize their consultative maternal-fetal medicine skills.This position also provides significant opportunities for teaching, mentoring, and influencing the next generation of medical professionals through academic involvement and leadership roles. MFM physicians at our organization serve as core faculty for the Creighton University integrated OB/GYN Residency and MFM Fellowship, which is hosted at VHMC and St. Joseph's Hospital/Dignity Health. This program accommodates 32 residents and one MFM fellow annually, fostering a vibrant and engaging learning atmosphere.The practice is further enhanced by academic partnerships with Creighton University, the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, and Arizona State University, offering chances to achieve academic ranks and instruct medical students from these institutions.
