Performs basic patient care tasks such as monitoring vital signs, glucometer checks, assisting with toileting, feeding, bathing, and mobility. Works closely with nursing staff to meet patient needs promptly, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Accurately documents all care activities to support clinical decision-making and communicates relevant patient information to the healthcare team to enhance outcomes.Education:High school diploma or GED preferred.Experience:One year of related experience preferred.Certification/License:Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred. Candidates without certification or with less than one year of experience are required to complete a specialized Patient Care Assistant training program. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment; training is provided.Mental/Physical Requirements:Requires considerable mental focus. Physical demands include lifting up to 35 lbs., frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and other movements necessary for patient care.Working Conditions:Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases through blood and bodily fluids.
