You will become part of our professional team that drives home our Company's Mission and Values.We have received recognition for more than six (6) years NPT's Best Non-Profit to Work for Award.Why You’ll Love It HereCompetitive pay Generous paid PTO and Sick time 11 Paid Company Holidays Paid training and certification supportHealth, dental, vision, with generous company contribution, paid life and disability plans & retirement plan with generous match of up to 8% of your contribution additional match of 1%. Tuition Reimbursement Plan Other voluntary plans are available to support you and your familyCareer growth opportunities in a supportive environmentWhat You’ll DoThis position is responsible for the duties of a Medical Assistant, assisting the front desk as well as performing phlebotomy.Medical Assistant-Primary TasksPerforms medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.Performs complete patient evaluation and assessment.Records and reports on symptoms, reactions, treatments and changes in patient’s conditions.Performs immunizations as directed by the physician.Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautionsFront Desk-Primary TasksPractice CAN Community Health’s mission, vision, and valuesGreet and assist patients with a high level of professionalism and confidentialityAccurately collect, process and post patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles and outstanding balance.Verify and updated patient insurance information and eligibility during check-inSchedule and confirm patient appointments, managing any necessary follow-up for missing documentationPhlebotomy TasksPerform venipuncture and fingerstick on all patients as orderedIdentify patients using two unique identifiers and verify test orders prior to specimen collection.Prepare collection sites using aseptic technique and select appropriate collection equipment.Label specimens accurately at the point of collection.Process, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for transport or analysis according to laboratory protocols.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of an employee for this job.
