Project Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer supports the project team in various functions, including but not limited to job cost tracking, schedule tracking, change orders, RFI’s and submittals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A working knowledge of construction methodology and managerial processes at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, an Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent experience of 3 years or more
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Ability to read/interpret/analyze construction schedules
Extensive document controls experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Working knowledge of job cost tracking
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
Familiarity with Access a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, make decisions, and contribute as needed
Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent oral and written communication skills
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Tracking construction contract design changes and updates
Tracking of project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs
Coordinating design changes within construction team
Assist with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log
Assist with development and maintenance of project schedule
Assist with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs
Ability to prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to client
Perform additional duties as assigned
