Spotlight Shotts are an Arts organisation based in Shotts, North Lanarkshire. We are looking for an experienced Arts Administrator to join our small but busy team. Remote working is part of this role.A leading arts organisation based in North Lanarkshire seeks an experienced Arts Administrator to join our growing team of staff. Spotlight Shotts are a community led arts CIC whose role is to develop audiences for the local Henderson Theatre as well as supporting arts activity in our local area. This part-time role involves overseeing the logistical organisation of our annual performance programme, Youth Theatre and other arts events and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in arts administration. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.Key Job ResponsibilitiesLogistics & Planning: Assisting in the organisation of events and performances, including booking artists and venues.Financial Administration: Managing budgets, processing invoices, keeping financial records, and handling petty cash.Marketing & Promotion: Promoting events via social media, websites, and marketing materials.Operations & Compliance: Ensuring organisational compliance, health and safety compliance, GDPR, and protection of vulnerable people.Office Management: Handling general administrative duties, such as email and phone, and navigating Microsoft Office.Requirements and QualificationsEducation: A bachelor's degree in a related field such as arts administration, business, or arts management is desirable but not essential.Experience: Previous experience in administrative roles, customer service, or volunteering within the arts sector is highly valued.Organisational Skills: High attention to detail for managing complex schedules and logistics.Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with artists, staff, and the public.IT Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and experience with databases or social media platforms.Financial Literacy: Basic understanding of budgeting and accounting procedures.Qualities: Adaptability, ability to work independently or in a team, and a passion for the arts and community development.Compensation and ContractThis is a freelance role.
