We are currently seeking a Senior-Level Dual Technician to support our growing operations. This role is best suited for highly experienced technicians who can confidently service both HVAC/refrigeration (cold side) and commercial cooking equipment (hot side), while operating independently and supporting team development.
Position Overview
This position focuses on the service, repair, and maintenance of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and restaurant equipment, with an emphasis on advanced troubleshooting, independence, and full-scope capability. Senior technicians are expected to take ownership of service calls, handle complex diagnostics, and serve as a technical resource to other technicians in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems (RTUs, walk-ins, freezers, ice machines, reach-ins, split systems)
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (fryers, ovens, grills, ranges, steamers, dishwashers)
Lead service calls and take ownership of complex or escalated issues
Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls in a timely manner
Identify electrical, mechanical, gas, and control-related issues and implement effective solutions
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior and mid-level technicians
Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and internal teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all safety and EPA regulations
Qualifications Required
8+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and/or restaurant equipment service
Proven ability to work across both hot and cold side systems
Strong background in advanced troubleshooting and system diagnostics
Ability to work independently and lead service calls from start to finish
Experience mentoring or supporting other technicians
Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, refrigeration cycles, and gas systems
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
Preferred
EPA Universal Certification
CFESA certification or equivalent (highly valued for dual techs)
Experience working in restaurant, retail, or multi-site commercial environments
Strong customer communication and service skills
Great to Have
Experience with rack systems, supermarkets, or complex refrigeration systems
Exposure to ventilation systems, boilers, or additional mechanical systems
Manufacturer training or advanced certifications
