Manager, International Accounting

The Manager, International Accounting will oversee a team that supports EOG's current international operations as well as any new ventures. The position is located in Houston, TX, with the key responsibilities below:Oversee a team of approximately 10 employees and contractors, with oversight of:Accounting for revenue, volumes, expenses, capital expenditures and intercompany transactionsVendor onboarding and accounts payableContract reviews for proper accountingMonthly forecasting and budgetingStaff development and mentoringWork closely with management and commercial teams to provide support on accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis for current operations as well as potential transactions.Work closely with local, in-country accounting teams to ensure accuracy of financial data, forecasts, and analyses passed to corporate.Coordinate with the Corporate Financial Reporting team to ensure accuracy of financial data and variance analyses.Manage monthly management financial statement preparation, analyzing variances from forecast, and reporting significant issues.Prepare ad-hoc presentations to the executive management team.Oversee compliance with accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.Coordinate communications with internal and external auditors.JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor's in accounting degree, CPA preferred8+ years of international oil and gas accounting experience5+ years supervisory/managerial experienceKnowledge of and ability to apply US GAAP/IFRS and understanding of statutory reporting requirementsExperience in accounting in multiple currenciesDetail oriented; with a focus on accuracy and timelinessSelf-motivated with strong management, analytical and coordination skills, including multi-location coordination skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing and heavily active organizationStrong communications skillsWillingness to travel to international officesStrong Excel skills requiredPosition will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.EOG Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Disabled.
