Shipping and Receiving Associate

The Shipping and Receiving position at Versa Corporation is an important piece to our fast paced work flow. It requires superior organization abilities, communication skills and the ability to remember numbers and letters, since all parts are labeled with part numbers and Warehouse location. Responsibilities: Check in parts and Materials from Venders, making sure that the parts received match what was ordered, clearly label them with the appropriate number and place them into the assigned location in our warehouse. Collect Customer Orders from Parts Manager, find parts in warehouse, thoroughly package for shipping, weigh and use a computer to create shipping labels and communicate with vendors by email and phone when needed. You would pull all parts needed for fabrication and assembly so that they have the parts that are needed to complete their stage of production. As parts are used, you would work closely with our Parts Manager and Production Manager to make sure that new parts are ordered for inventory. The job would require the ability to spend the majority of the day on your feet, climb stairs and ladders and carry parts where needed. Ability to work with a computer, read work orders and production drawings, drive a forklift (training available) and be able to lift 50lbs. Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
