Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Amarillo, Texas.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Physical TherapistDiscipline: TherapyStart Date: 05/25/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: May 25, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab position at a Level III trauma hospital, open to new graduates with TX licensure.DetailsInpatient rehabilitation unit within a 450-bed hospital serving a census of approximately 360 patients across 7 floorsLevel III trauma hospital with a diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurological, oncology, post-op spine, general med-surg, and ICU (medical, cardiac, and surgical) casesDaily staffing includes 8-10 PTs and 6-8 PTAs, with close collaboration with OT, speech therapy, and case management teamsDay shift, 5x8-hour days, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMEpic EMR experience preferred13-week contractRequirementsActive TX PT license required; pending licensure acceptedNew graduates will be considered; travel experience is not requiredEpic EMR experience preferredLicense required if applicable2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for considerationAdditional InformationCandidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleFormer permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a travelerNo more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientationTravel pairs or groups are not accepted for this positionAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-705914.
