Coverage Type: Clinic and clinic callClinic Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PMAverage Number of Patients per day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office): Physician will see 8-16 pts (schedule template has 7-8 hrs of pt appt time available)Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding): Average Census of 22 (2 hospitals), including 4-5 new ptsEMR System: EpicTrauma Level: 2Location: Grand Rapids, MIPractice Setting & Support:Clinical Area: Oncology - Outpatient SettingAdministration of Chemotherapy: Nurse OncologistAPPs Providing coverage: Inpt team of 5 APPs; Outpt team of 5 APPs at this locationNumber of Physicians in Practice: 6Percentage of Hematology, Oncology, Internal Medicine: Practice is 60% Heme, 40% OncPosition to focus on Lung Cancer as primary; secondary focus is general/benign heme from pts not assigned to other physicians' specialties.Current team includes specialists in Breast, Lung (different location), GI, GU, Neuro.Required Procedures:FNA/BiopsyRequired Duties: Participation in a Tumor BoardOrders TestsOrders ImagesPrescribesRequirements:Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology - Active MI License - Highly preferred - willing to review providers needing to obtain MI LicenseBLS Must be willing to focus on thoracic (lung) cancer patients (please note at time of name clear)
