Engagement Coordinator
Title: Engagement Coordinator Reports to: Director of Engagement Hours: 20 Hours Per week Pay Range: $25 Per Hour. Location: Remote-First Hybrid (Metro Detroit) Company Description: At People First Economy, we build tools and support networks working towards a stakeholder economy where people and environmental wellbeing are essential. Our statewide networks help develop stronger economies grounded in local business ownership and build a community of practice where organizations have the tools to create social and environmental impacts. We advocate for sustainable policies and engage with the broader community to build equitable and resilient economic systems. Position Description: The Engagement Coordinator position drives community, employee, or stakeholder participation through targeted outreach, event planning, and communication strategies both in person and virtually. This role helps with shaping how people experience People First Economy, both online and in person. This position supports social media, communications, and event strategies, ensuring that every interaction reflects PFE’s mission, values, and program goals. The Engagement Coordinator will report to the Director of Engagement. Key responsibilities include: Marketing: Implementing strategic marketing goals that coincide with our campaigns Reviewing and maintaining social media and engaging with our community Support the effort to grow the organization’s social media presence, expanding reach and engagement. Communications: Monitoring the Community Membership Hub (People First Economy Network) Managing general email inquiries Events: Attending in person engagement in SE Mi representing PFE Support the planning of signature events, ensuring impactful and seamless experiences for attendees. Strategic Responsibilities: Processing Memberships & Programs Monitoring new members and uploading them to our directory General: Make decisions with a lens of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, upholding People First Economy core values at all times. Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with business and community partners across the state. Work with other People First Economy staff to achieve broad organization goals Attend People First Economy and community events.
