Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
Evaluate students’ academic, behavioral, and social progress.
Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive support.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Participate in professional development sessions and stay updated on best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential.
Previous experience working with children with special needs preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
