Qualified candidates will be working with both our corporate and catering clients at their various events and banquets, providing excellent customer service. Since we are a staffing firm, we offer flexible schedules- you pick when you want to work. Filling it out helps us speed up the review process and get you in front of a recruiter faster!Responsibilities:Report to all assignments on time, in proper uniform for each client and with your toolsMaintain a professional appearance with uniforms ironed and shoes shinedTuxedo pants (wash and wear) is required for one clientAlways wear black dress style slip-resistant shoes that can be shinedSet up and breakdown of eventsFollow proper steps of service for banquets in order to provide outstanding service to your guestsKnowledge of food & wine service practices?Communicate effectively with clients, guests and co-workersAble to utilize our employee App/portal to confirm and update your availability for work and to view, accept, decline and track job offers and assignmentsSkills and Experience:Excellent communication skillsOutstanding customer service skillsMust be detail orientedAbility to adapt to a fast-changing environmentWork seamlessly within a team that will fluctuate frequentlyFlexibility with job duties and schedulesAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeHave a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients, guests and coworkersRequired: 2 years of banquet/ catering experience with sit down service2 former professional banquet/ catering referencesCertificate of completion of an NYSLA recognized alcohol awareness training programming such as from The American Safety Council or Tips is a plusWe are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
