Job Title: Medical Records SupervisorLocation: Leavenworth, KS 66048Duration: 13 Weeks (Strong possibility of extension)Schedule: Days, 5x8Travel Pay Range: $1,500 - $1630/WeekHourly Range: $37.50 - $40.75Duties:The Medical Records Supervisor provides supervision of medical records staff as well as administrative support, in the operation of the medical department by overseeing and performing varied and complex clerical and related administrative functions requiring independent judgment in the use of work methods and procedures.Skills:Supervised medical records staff by managing recruitment and training, developing work schedules, and executing formal performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.Directed the comprehensive maintenance, copying, and secure storage of medical records while ensuring strict adherence to corporate confidentiality and retention policies.Managed clinic supply inventories and referral logs, producing detailed statistical reports and routine medical and dental documentation for facility leadership.Facilitated the seamless transfer of medical records for outside referrals and coordinated timely responses to inmate grievances and authorized legal inquiries.Utilized advanced word processing and spreadsheet programs to independently compose, edit, and distribute complex correspondence, memoranda, and sensitive health data.Orchestrated departmental administrative workflows, including the sorting of certified mail and the organization of general files, under the direction of the Health Service Administrator.Required experience:Three years' experience in a similar position required. One year’s supervisory experience preferred. Additional education or specialized training may be substituted for the required experience. A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.Proficiency in Microsoft Word for Windows, Excel, Windows 95 and other personal computer applications required.Education: High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
