Cyber Security Engineering Manager

Salary: $131,700 - 206,450 per year Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer (10 years preferred)Extensive experience with Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint FirewallsProficiency with Cisco ISESignificant experience in a large enterprise security operations center or information technology operations, particularly in a large financial institutionExpert understanding of cyber/information security systems engineering lifecycleAdvanced knowledge of network and host-based forensic methodologiesStrong familiarity with enterprise-grade security technologies and capabilities (e.g. SIEM, DLP, UEBA, firewall, web proxy, etc.)In-depth knowledge of current threat landscape, adversary tactics, techniques, and proceduresComprehensive understanding of information security programs, data security practices, and procedures, including risk identification/assessmentExperience in supervising, guiding, and mentoring staffDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently or within a teamProficient in collaborating with various levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and vendorsStrong initiative and judgment to make informed decisionsExcellent interpersonal skills, managing interactions with staff, management, vendors, and members tactfullyStrong analytical thinking abilities to summarize information and identify key elements or relationshipsAdvanced problem-solving and research capabilitiesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in database, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet softwareAbility to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearlyProven leadership skills to guide and mentor professional staffStrong organizational and time management abilitiesBachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Responsibilities: Supervise the architecture, engineering, and operational efforts for solutions required by the CTE team of Network Security engineersManage daily operations concerning firewalls, network access controls, and intrusion prevention systemsProvide strategic vision for effective management of daily operationsEnsure uniformity in network security policy managementServe as an escalation point for on-call engineersOversee assessment and review of current technologies to pinpoint risk areas and ensure appropriate controls are in placeConduct vulnerability and threat assessments, mitigation, and reporting functionsIdentify and address operational and performance obstacles; propose and implement enhancementsEnsure work quality, methods, procedures, processes, and productivity statistics satisfy business goals and member service standardsDevelop guidelines, standards, policies, procedures, and other relevant technical documentationSupport the Incident Response & Monitoring team in identifying, analyzing, containing, and eliminating malicious activitiesMaintain thorough knowledge of and ensure adherence to applicable federal and state regulations, NFCU policies, and service level agreementsResearch and compile data; present insights and recommendations to managementMonitor the work environment and guide resource allocation to guarantee adequate staffing for production and member service standardsTimely escalate operational and budget issues or impacts to management with relevant risk and impact informationPerform additional tasks as assigned Technologies: CiscoFirewallSupportNetworkSecurityWeb More: At Navy Federal, we offer more than just a job; we deliver a rewarding career experience characterized by an energized and committed culture.
