Software Engineer We are looking for IT people who have a passion for writing quality code, have full stack development and pipeline experience. We have a mix of openings and experience levels needed under multiple product lines and initiatives in the Surface platform.The responsibilities are to function as a contributing team member and full-stack software engineer. The job requires participating in team Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, spring planning, demos, sprint reviews), estimating effort (story points) to accomplish work, and developing software systems within the technical constraints of Chevron's IT environment.Required:SAFe/Agile experience in executing delivery via Program Increments and IterationsWeb application development experience with a Microsoft stack (.NET, Angular or React, SQL Server, Entity Framework)Experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Service, SQL Service, Azure Functions, virtual machines)Experience in CI/CD DevOps environments with automated software deployment pipelines & Azure DevOps (ADO)Experience writing quality and tested code that is documentedComputer Science or other degree related to software developmentAble to coordinate with vendors and development teams on issuesAble to coordinate with product owners to create support models & use casesPreferred:Experience managing support tickets in a formal ticket management system, like Support NowAutomation and low-code development (i.e. Power Apps, Power BI) experienceExperience with SQL-style databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and SQL queries and scriptsDevelopment of Ansible Pipelines for Automated Azure deploymentsDevOps: Working knowledge of ADO, Azure Boards, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, Ansible, Artifactory etcTools: Visual Studio Code, SDK's, AppConfiguration, AZ Cli etcBasic Knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Database, Networking, Web Services.Test Automation frameworks (Protractor or Selenium preferred)Provide technical input on backlog decisions (such as "buy vs build" decisions and pros/cons analysis of technical choicesAssist in coaching less experienced team members to higher levels of competency.Build and deploy scalable azure pipelines for timeseries products.Experience supporting Metegrity Visions, Coabis, Infor EAM, Mangan, and Viziya applicationsRequired Skills : Top Skillsets Needed: C#.NET Heavy Microsoft stack Everything is a plus Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)Basic Qualification : Computer Science or other degree related to software development Additional Skills : Computer Science or other degree related to software development100% remote roleBackground Check :YesDrug Screen :YesNotes :Preferred Houston, TX or San Ramon, CA but open to national candidates.
