LPN/RN-Needed for Part time Local Facility
Transylvania Regional Hospital, part of Mission Health, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Acute Care team within the Healthcare & Medical Services department in Brevard, North Carolina. As an LPN in our full-service community hospital, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care across a variety of acute care needs, collaborating closely with Registered Nurses, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.In this role, you will provide direct bedside nursing care to patients with medical-surgical and other acute conditions, following established care plans and hospital protocols. You will perform routine and complex clinical tasks within the LPN scope of practice, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers, administering medications as ordered, monitoring patient responses to treatments, collecting specimens, performing wound care and basic dressing changes, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will also help maintain a safe environment, promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN or provider, and participate in implementing fall prevention and other patient safety initiatives.Working in a fast-paced hospital setting, you will be expected to prioritize and organize patient assignments, support continuity of care during shift changes, and maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to reinforce patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, discharge instructions, and home care needs, always demonstrating empathy, clear communication, and respect for diverse backgrounds and needs.Aligned with Mission Health's culture, this position emphasizes a supportive environment that fosters patient safety and employee growth.
