Full Stack Developer (Python + React) — Spring, TX (On-Site)About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in Python and React to join a high-impact team building globally-used trading and data platforms. This is a long-term contract engagement based on-site in Spring, Texas. The ideal candidate brings strong backend and frontend capabilities, thrives in fast-paced environments, and takes full ownership of their work.Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Python and React- Build high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using FastAPI- Develop modern, responsive front-end interfaces with React and component-based architecture- Implement and manage data transformation pipelines using DBT- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to deliver scalable platform solutions- Maintain code quality through GitHub-based version control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability of critical systems- Contribute to architectural decisions for platform engineering and data engineering initiatives- Write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively across teamsRequirements- 7+ years of professional software development experience- Advanced proficiency in Python including APIs, async programming, and data processing- Strong experience with React for modern UI development- Hands-on experience building services with FastAPI- Working knowledge of DBT for data engineering and transformation- Solid experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ownership-driven mindset- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work on-site in Spring, TX (candidates must be within 50 miles)Preferred Qualifications- Experience in Oil and Gas, energy, or trading platform environments- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP- Background in data engineering, platform engineering, or AI engineering- Experience working in high-availability, large-scale production systems- Familiarity with agile development methodologiesEngagement Details- Location: Spring, Texas (On-Site, no remote)- Duration: Long-Term Contract- Employment Type: W2 Contract- Start Date: ImmediateOperAxis is an equal opportunity employer.
