This full-time, night-shift role involves conducting security rounds both indoors and outdoors, often in challenging weather conditions, to ensure the safety and security of the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough inspections and patrols of assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility's interior and exterior.Act as a liaison and public relations representative, providing courteous and professional communication with patients, visitors, and staff regarding security and safety matters.Respond promptly to calls for assistance and support medical personnel as needed.Coordinate effectively with medical professionals, law enforcement, firefighters, and senior management.Ensure doors and windows are secure and intact during inspections.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Basic computer proficiency.Valid Driver's License mandatory.Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire.One to three years of experience in law enforcement or security, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Certifications and TrainingHIPAA, Restraint Training, and Emergency Code Training required within six months.Preferred: IAHSS Basic Security Officer certification.Preferred: Security experience in a healthcare setting.Preferred: Healthcare-focused de-escalation training such as AVADE or CPI.Professional AttributesCommitment to regulatory compliance and organizational ethics.Dependability in attendance and timely completion of duties.Strong interpersonal skills with a courteous, respectful, and helpful approach to communication.Competitive compensation with annual increases based on qualifications and experience.
