Hardware Test Engineer

Our client is looking for a hands-on, detailed-oriented Hardware Test Engineer to support product manufacturing and testing. This role involves setup, testing, and troubleshooting hardware down to the subsystem level requiring strong electronics knowledge and flexibility to work in labs, test facilities, and field locations.Key Qualifications2+ years of experience in hardware diagnostics, repair, or technical supportStrong grasp of electrical theory and troubleshootingExperience debugging electronics at board/system levelProficiency with lab tools (multimeters and oscilloscopes)Ability to read schematics and mechanical CAD drawingsAbility to assemble prototype systems and cable harnesses from drawingsExcellent communication and documentation skillsResponsibilitiesProvide technical support across engineering and non-technical teamsTriage and debug hardware issues at system, sub-system, and component levelsAnalyze field failures and identify root causesTroubleshoot PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), Surface Mount Technology (SMT), and Integrated Circuits (ICs) related issuesExecute test plans, perform repairs, and document findingsGood to have:Soldering and hot air rework proficiencyFamiliarity with Python or LabView scriptingExperience with Linux command lineWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
