TechSource delivers solutions through hundreds of experts with decades of experience and a strong commitment to safety-centric execution.About This RoleThis is a full-time Engineering Technologist role supporting the Advanced Sources and Detector (ASD) Project Office at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The ASD Project is responsible for the fabrication, installation, and commissioning of Scorpius, a ~20 MeV linear induction electron accelerator. Scorpius will support subcritical experiment diagnostics at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), located within the underground U1a complex (963 feet below ground) as part of the Enhanced Capabilities for Subcritical Experiments Program.In this role, you will support the construction, assembly, integration, and testing of critical accelerator subsystems including IVA components, SAC subassemblies and assemblies, and LRU-8 integration. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, subject matter experts, and safety personnel to plan, coordinate, and execute assembly activities while ensuring compliance with quality and project requirements. This position reports to ASD Operations and requires collaboration across Los Alamos, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), vendor partners, and NNSS.Location: This is an onsite role at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and onsite in Mercury, NV. There is remote flexibility, but candidates should be ready to drive onsite to Mercury, NV.
