Activities Director Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a variety of recreational and social programs tailored to resident interests and needs.
Create and manage a monthly activity calendar with diverse and engaging activities.
Assess residents’ interests and abilities to ensure activities are suitable and inclusive.
Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers to support activity execution.
Manage the activities budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Collaborate with other departments to align activities with residents' care plans.
Communicate with residents and families about upcoming activities and events.
Maintain records of participation and feedback, and prepare reports on program effectiveness.
Ensure activities comply with facility policies and safety regulations.
Activities Director Qualifications:
Certified Activity Director with experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
Certification as an Activity Professional preferred.
