Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. This position will be located at the Lexington, NC branch. PURPOSE: To provide supervisory oversight for a group(s) of detailers, including training, coordinating work (with Project Manager Lead if necessary), ensuring that job standards are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. BASIC FUNCTIONS • Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards. • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values. • Train and supervise detailers, review their work, assist with any reported difficulties, and identify ways to correct deficiencies. • Responsible for continually reassessing detailing techniques and recommending integrated, cost-effective solutions to improving efficiencies, and participating in the development of recommended actions. • Track employee’s progress on assigned work. • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation and training of new detailer teammates. • Keep apprised of any technological developments in the methods of detailing and equipment used and make appropriate recommendations to management so that Nucor Rebar Fabrication can execute project management/detailing as efficiently and effectively as possible. • Assist in the performance review process and recommend appropriate salary adjustments as needed for assigned detailing personnel to the Sales Service Supervisor. • Produce reports as requested by management. • Perform other duties as required by Sales Service Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college or equivalent • At least four years of experience as an Advanced/Senior Detailer Preferred Qualifications: • 2 year technical degree from an accredited school or college • Thorough knowledge of NRF’s detailing system (RebarCAD) & Navision • General supervisory skills or supervisory training • Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities • Effective verbal and communication skills • Critical thinking skills • The ability to creatively motivate detailers Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
