Building Maintenance Technician

Landmark is committed to providing students with a rich, relevant, and rewarding academic experience in preparation for matriculation to a college program of their choosing.Building Maintenance Technician will perform skilled work involving two or more trades in the construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, equipment, and facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repair: Performs routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex electrical/mechanical malfunctions using schematics and technical tools.Trade Tasks: Handle electrical (wiring, lighting), HVAC, plumbing (pipes, fixtures), carpentry, painting and structural repairs.Documentation: Record work history, part usage, and completed work orders using CMMS software such as school dude.Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all building codes, safety standards, and regulations.Operational Support: Operate material handling equipment, such as skid steer, tractor or lifts, as needed. Assist in events and functions setup.QualificationsExperience: 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in general maintenance or building trades.Versatility: Proficiency across at least two or more skilled trades (e.g., plumbing and electrical).Technical Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.Tool Proficiency: Skill in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift loads 50–100 lbs.Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical certification is preferred.Communication: Strong problem-solving abilities and effective verbal/written communication skills. Physical Demands and Working ConditionsFrequently works indoors and outdoors in adverse conditions, confined, or loud environments.May require flexible hours, including weekends, and nights.Must be able to operate safely around heavy equipment and machinery.
