What You'll DoReporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Spinner is responsible for operating and monitoring spinning machinery to produce metal components according to production specifications. This role ensures quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Shift Schedule: 2nd shift 3:30PM-12:00AM; training will take place on 1st shift. A shift differential is a part of the total compensation for this role Technical Job Read work order, blueprints, and specifications to determine operation requirementsUnder supervision, operate CNC and hand spin lathe to meet desired specificationsDetermine the necessary spin tools such as chucks, rollers and trimming tools necessary for the production of spun partsMeasure and mark cutting and trimming lines on part, using measuring instruments, scriber, or marking penInstall and align machine accessories, such as rollers, tailstock, and headstockCut and trim parts by controlling movement of part secured in fixture, on work positioner, or entering commands to retrieve and start preprogrammed cutting or trimming instructions to partMeasure dimensions of finished part using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, or check fixtureOperate and control torch/heat input to part to achieve desired material temperatureMay trim, sand, and drill parts, using shop equipmentPerform daily/weekly maintenance on spinning equipment/tools (oil, clean, and inspection)Accurately execute Company Process Control (PC) instructions and provide feedback when revisions are neededDocument actions by completing production and quality logs as neededAccomplish organization goals by actively exploring opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
