It's a build role. Most of the week is Python — automations, internal tools, API and SDK integrations, dashboards, CLI utilities, SOAR workflows for alert enrichment, triage, containment and reporting, plus custom tooling for CVE vetting and vulnerability enrichment.The rest is keeping the platform up: Linux and Docker systems hosting security sensors, collectors and connectors, and a stack that spans IAM, vulnerability management, email security, endpoint, SIEM, XDR, SOAR, logging, monitoring and cloud security.What you need:Real Python development. Something you built that has users and lives in version control — not Python listed as a skillLinux day to day: deployment, patching, scripting, service management, troubleshooting, lifecycle. Docker mattersAutomation workflows across Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, JSON, YAML, vendor SDKsBreadth across the security stack, not one deep specialtyBachelor's in IT, CS, Software Engineering or InfoSec, or 8 years of experience in place of it, plus 5 years in large IT environmentsNice to have: CISSP, Security+ or GIAC. Palo Alto, Proofpoint, Tenable, Cribl or WhatsUp Gold. A Linux or Python cert.The details, including the parts people don't like:Long term. Strong pay. Stable government client.
