Machine Operator - Third Shift (Open)To Be the Advantage That Helps Our Customers Win.Creating packaging solutions for life's essentials.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare festoons, jigs, and saws and make adjustments as necessary for each work order using hand toolsDependable and ability to work overtime as requiredAdhere to specific quality standards to ensure customer satisfactionAbility to read various measurement equipment including tape measures, calipers and micrometersAbility to read and interpret work orders to understand machine setup requirementsPerform periodic quality checks to ensure compliance to specifications and/or COAsWill build pallets to customer specs to pack out finished productManually pack finished product onto pallets for shipmentKnowledge of machine including parts and functionInteract with Seltrol systemSet up and troubleshoot overwrap ordersMaintains a clean, safe and orderly work areaFollow safety regulationsPerforms other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceTypically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1-2 years of relevant experience.Knowledge and SkillsFollow directions and work well in a team.Competency in machine set-upAbility to communicate expectation with crewLifting up to 50 poundsStooping, bending, and moving about plant for up to 8 hours per dayAbility to read tape measure, calipers and other measuring toolsAt Greif, we believe that our colleagues are the center of our success. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
