Personal Injury Paralegal

Leeds Professional Resources is working with a client in Tampa that is looking for a Personal Injury Paralegal. The Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal supports attorneys in representing injured clients in personal injury matters from intake through settlement or trial. This role is heavily client-facing and involves building strong cases by collecting evidence, managing medical documentation, and assisting in negotiating settlements with insurance companies.Key Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters (pre-litigation and litigation)Conduct client intake and maintain regular communication with clients regarding case statusOrder, review, and summarize medical records and billsObtain and analyze police reports, incident reports, and liability evidenceCommunicate with insurance adjusters and coordinate claimsPrepare and send demand packages, including liability analysis and damages summariesDraft legal documents such as:Complaints and pleadingsDiscovery requests and responsesAuthorizations and affidavitsSettlement documents and releasesTrack medical treatment progress and calculate damages (medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering)Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certificate a plus2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience requiredStrong knowledge of pre-litigation case handling and settlement processesExperience working with medical records, liens, and billingMust be bilingual - English/Spanish
