We have an immediate opening for a Full-time Groundskeeper. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of outdoor grounds and associated facilities. This role involves landscaping, lawn care, seasonal cleanup, minor repairs, snow plowing, snow removal, and the operation of groundskeeping equipment to ensure all exterior areas are clean, well-kept, and visually appealing.________________________________________ Classification: Full-time, non-exempt, hourlyReports to: Director of Facilities Key ResponsibilitiesMow, edge, trim, and fertilize lawns and landscaped areasPlant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and plantsMaintain walkways, parking areas, fences, and outdoor structuresRemove debris, leaves, snow, and ice as required by seasonSnow removal and plowingPrepare athletic fields and outdoor areas for school events, sports, and ceremoniesOperate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, snow removal equipment, etc.)Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on tools, equipment, and facilitiesIdentify and report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance concernsAssist with setup and cleanup for outdoor events when neededWork collaboratively with maintenance and facilities staff All other duties as assigned________________________________________QualificationsLegal authority to work in the USHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience preferredBasic knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment operationAbility to safely handle tools, chemicals, and machineryValid driver’s license may be requiredAbility to work independently and follow instructionsSuitable background check result (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting requiredCPR/AED/Standard First Aid certified or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire________________________________________Skills And AbilitiesStrong attention to detailTime-management and organizational skillsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsPhysical stamina and strength for lifting, bending, and prolonged standingBasic problem-solving skills________________________________________Physical RequirementsAbility to physically navigate a multi-acre campus and off-site locationsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularlyFrequent walking, bending, kneeling, and standingAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Come join our team!
