Director Of Technology

Position OverviewThe Director of Technology combines the software and technology strategy and leadership as well as a strong focus on data and analytics, working to help support the Foundation and ensure that staff have the tools and insights that will enable them to support the Foundation’s mission and goals into the future. This role is also the liaison between SBF and its technology vendors, bringing IT, IS, custom web application and Salesforce CRM projects forward and to successful execution. This role must document and make sure communication is clear between all stakeholders and vendors to ensure all projects move forward accurately and efficiently.Primary ResponsibilitiesInformation Technology Team LeadershipUnderstands and connects with the St. Baldrick's mission, and strives to embody our core values (Mission-driven, Accountable, Continuously improving, Aligned, Transparent, Fun)Organizes the Information Technology team and establishes clear objectives/goals, KPIs, roles and responsibilities; ensures coordination of shared resources, common activities, and other dependencies across projectsLeads, oversees and improves the project initiation and management processes for the Information Technology teamPartners with and successfully collaborates with internal and external teams to understand the organization and its goals in order to determine potential project impact and tailor plans and deliverables accordinglyBuilds strong relationships and trust with stakeholders, keeping them and their teams informed, engaged and aligned with technology initiativesPromotes project management best practices and informs others of PM processes and tools across teams, as neededData and AnalyticsOversees the Business Intelligence Analyst who manages the Foundation’s reporting and analytics platformsLeads the Foundation’s business analytics by supervising marketing and engagement data collection, implementing data analysis and communicates outcomesSalesforce Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing CloudOversees the Integrated Marketing & CRM Project Manager who manages the administration of the Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud platformsFacilitates the development of the CRM roadmap and implements CRM priorities, processes, features, and functionalities by working closely with the Strategic Director of External Relations, cross-functional teams and executive leadershipMaintains business relationship with the CRM related vendors, including managing the budget process in this areaInformation Technology and Information SecurityOversees the IT/IS Manager and vendors who manages technologies and information security of the Foundation, like SaaS (software-as-a-service), servers, workstations, etc.Advises the COO on information security issues alongside the Information Steering Committee which includes the IT/IS Manager and managed IT and IS vendorsOversees and maintains business relationship with the IT and IS vendors, including managing the budget process in this areaDirects SaaS technology solutions for the FoundationServes as on-site back-up in case of desktop support technological emergenciesOtherResearches and presents on new technologies, best practices, industry trends, and consumer insights and their potential use and benefits for SBFOther duties as assigned Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree or professional equivalent preferred7-10 years of progressive experience leading Information Technology teams and functions.Proven leadership skills with strong management and coaching abilitiesSolid understanding of IT/IS securityAbility to oversee projects in an agile, waterfall or hybrid environment spanning web development and systems integrationAdaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure and communicating clarity in a dynamic environmentAble to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs within budgetAble to effectively communicate and collaborate with others and build relationships at all levels, both within the team and with stakeholders and executive managementUnderstanding of basic website development and key user actions that can be counted in an analytics systemKnowledge of CSS, CMS, Adobe creative suite preferredFamiliarity with Windows operating systems, network infrastructure, and information securityPrevious experience with Salesforce or another similar enterprise-level CRM preferredPrevious experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance preferredExperience with Google Analytics,, Trello or similar project management software preferredProficiency in Outlook, Word, and ExcelSound judgment, thoughtfulness, attention to detail;
