Volunteer: Vigil Volunteer

Our hospice volunteers have many reasons for giving their time. Some are looking for a fulfilling way to develop and grow personally. Others have been helped by hospice in their families and want to give back. Still others simply want to help improve the lives of members in their community.Whatever the reason, as a hospice volunteer, you will gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference in another person's life., The Vigil Volunteer offers companionship, comfort and presence to patients during the timeimmediately prior to their death. Support can be provided to patients who have no family to be withthem or to provide support and guidance to families and caregivers, helping to relieve the unknown; thismay also include staff if the patient resides at a facility.
