Speech & Language Pathology - Saint Paris, Ohio

Provide specialized speech-language therapy services focused primarily on pediatric outpatient care, with a small component of adult inpatient and outpatient treatment. This role requires evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of therapy programs addressing a range of speech and language disorders. It provides a blend of small-town charm and access to recreational and cultural activities, making it a comfortable setting for professionals and their families.Position Details:Outpatient pediatric caseload comprising roughly 90% of patient interactionsAdult patients represent approximately 5% inpatient and 5% outpatient caseloadDaily caseload of about 12-14 patientsTypical work schedule: mainly 4-10 hour days, Wednesday offNo dysrhythmia exam requiredTreatment involves managing disorders such as articulation delays, childhood apraxia, AAC, autism, cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, early intervention, developmental delay, as well as adult swallowing/language/cognition concerns related to CVA, dementia, encephalopathy, and pneumoniaKey Responsibilities:Evaluate and implement individualized speech-language therapy services following Ohio state laws and professional standardsCollaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to maximize functional outcomesUse standardized and non-standardized assessments to determine treatment needsMonitor and modify treatment plans based on patient progressProvide education and training to patients, families, and caregiversDocument all services and communicate effectively across the care teamParticipate in quality improvement and professional development activitiesMaintain clinical competency through ongoing education and trainingQualifications:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology requiredActive Ohio license in Speech Language PathologyCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or conditional license under Ohio's Professional Experience PlanCurrent CPR certificationMinimum 1 year of experience preferred, particularly with pediatric populationsExperience with electronic medical records preferredAdditional training in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) and VitalStim desirable but not requiredThis is a contract opportunity welcoming local candidates interested in contributing to a multidisciplinary clinical team with a strong pediatric focus.
