Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Whether working in your own office or at a VES facility, this role offers the chance to contribute to a noble cause with a respected organization committed to excellence.Key Responsibilities: Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Perform interview-based assessments with some physical evaluation, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment responsibilities involved. Complete exams efficiently, submit reports and addendums in a timely manner. Follow established protocols and maintain thorough documentation. Participate in onboarding, training, and ongoing administrative follow-up.Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license. Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields. Ability to perform interview-based assessments with minimal physical evaluation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and professionalism.Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Compensation & Pension exams. Background working with veterans or in a government contractor setting. Prior experience with assessment-based evaluations.Preferred Education and Experience: Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing. Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary or general medicine. Previous exposure to military or veteran healthcare assessments is a plus.Other Requirements: Must have a dedicated office within 50 miles of Edmond, OK, or be willing to work at a VES facility within the same radius. Ability to perform PRN, part-time, or full-day shifts (as little as 4 hours or up to 8 hours). Willingness to undergo credentialing and training promptly. No travel reimbursements outside of the agreed rates; certifications and portal training costs are not reimbursed.
