Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery AssistantColumbia, Maryland Pay From: $25 per hourMUST:Experienced Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery Assistant1 plus years of current experience as a Dental AssistantBackground in Oral SurgeryFamiliar with extractions and implantsExperience with working with EMRExperience working on patient under IV sedationX-ray certified in the state of MarylandStrong verbal and written communication skillsDUTIES:Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:Provides assistance to the oral and maxillofacial surgeon and other providers within the division for a variety of treatment procedures.Assists in the outpatient clinic and operating room settingsObtains patient's medical history and takes vital signs such as blood pressure and pulseHelps patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatmentProvides patient education regarding treatments and post op careDevelops and processes dental radiographs (x-rays), under supervision of licensed providerObtains digital intra-oral impressions and when necessary alginates impressions under supervision of licensed providerPrepares and sterilizes instruments and equipmentCan be assigned duties specific to other dental specialtiesPerforms office management tasks and clerical duties as required (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering telephone calls, billing, and ordering supplies)Performs other duties as assigned.*Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
