Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in contributing to increased operational efficiencies and underlying accounting team data management. Come grow with us!Location: Indianapolis, IN (in-office)HOW WILL YOU HELP US GROW?Perform weekly/monthly balance sheet reconciliations and related journal entries for assigned accountsPrepare quarterly royalty reporting and quarterly scholarship valuation roll forwardsIssue customer credit and debit memos as neededAudit customer pricing and update annual pricing in the ERP systemTrack and execute customer agreementsOversee and manage Scouting Council incentivesOversee and manage the Trails End Rewards program, including costing and promotionsPrepare and analyze customer payout schedulesManage Budgets for departments as assignedAssist Controller with monthly SG&A actuals vs. budget variance analysis for assigned areasAssist with annual 1099 preparation and issuanceAssist with providing support to external auditors at year endReview and approve purchase order spend requestsPrepare ad hoc financial and operational reports as neededServe as primary payroll backupMonitor and respond to credit card disputesRequirements:WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE?Bachelors degree in accounting4+ years of related work experienceExperience in a small-mid size scaling company, tech industry background is a plusHandle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlinesStrong organizational skills and detail orientedDesire to make the accounting processes more efficient and effectiveInterest in understanding FP&A as well as accountingTeam player mindset, willing to learn and take on new responsibilitiesAbility to use analytical thinking skills to solve problemsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience with Sage Intacct ERP software a plusDomo Reporting experience a plusFamiliarity of AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot etc.) is a plusHOW WILL WE HELP YOU GROW?Up to 5% 401K company match$2500 annual HSA contribution (HDHP required)Up to $15K in continued ed reimbursementHealthy snacksFree headquarters gym accessCollaborative, positive and energetic team environment!The role responsibilities are many, various, and not limited to those written in this document.PI500ca4d0c19f-26289-40451471
