About the Opportunity:The Coordinator, Grassroots Advocacy supports public policy and advocacy initiatives related to breast cancer and public health. This role is central to expanding and engaging the grassroots and grasstops advocate base, enhancing the organization’s policy impact through direct outreach to policymakers. The position involves coordinating advocacy campaigns, events, and communications to bolster the effectiveness of the organization’s advocacy efforts at state and federal levels.3. Responsibilities:• Increase the number of grassroots advocates and implement ongoing engagement campaigns• Plan and execute grassroots events, including preparing materials and managing attendee recruitment• Develop state-level grassroots communications supporting policy priorities• Collaborate with Federal and State Policy & Advocacy teams for advocate participation in hearings and meetings• Track and evaluate grassroots activities• Respond to advocate inquiries via phone and email• Manage and update the online advocate database for respective states• Promote a culture valuing trust, mission commitment, scientific integrity, and growth• Perform other duties as assigned4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, political science, government affairs, communications, public health, or related field• Minimum of 1 year experience in public policy, advocacy, and implementing state and federal policy campaigns• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Strong organizational skills and advanced proficiency with MS Office• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to conduct Internet researchPreferred:• Experience in event execution• Familiarity with digital tools and platforms such as FiscalNote and Airtable• Professional social media experience5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Competitive hourly pay range of $20 to $25.64, based on factors including labor market, job level, internal equity, budget, skills, education, experience, and geographic location6.
