Dental Front Desk Specialist

As the Front Desk Specialist at Prosthodontics Associates, you will be our “Director of First Impressions” and are responsible for preparing the front office for a remarkable patient experience. Whether on the phone or in the office, you are the first person a patient encounters and the one who leaves a great lasting impression as they depart our facility.
The right addition to our team will be punctual and reliable, bubbly and inviting, confident talking to patients on the phone or in person, and proficient using the computer. Ideal candidate will be a fast-learner, ideally with a background in dental administration who would enjoy being part of a highly regarded specialty practice; where commitment to excellence is a way of life, and a winning attitude is the mindset of choice. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities
Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
Review daily schedules to ensure all diagnostic materials have been received from referring offices.
Ensure that patients have completed all necessary paperwork prior to their appointment (i.e.: health histories, consent forms, authorizations)
Manage in-coming emails; transfer messages to appropriate recipient, transfer dental x-rays & reports to appropriate patient record.
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
Requirements
Responsible, Dependable and Accountable
Works well with a Team and displays teamwork in front of patient
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Dentrix & Dexis preferable
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. computers, fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills; Detail orientated
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Customer service attitude
