Test Prep Class Instructor

,Boost Learning is looking for a strong Math or Verbal Test Prep Instructor! If you are a certified teacher and/or have experience teaching math or verbal, we would love to hear from you! Must have experience instructing a group of students. Looking for instructors for High School entrance exams or SAT test prep. Tutors will be independent contractors and work capacity is based tutor's own availability. We will be in charge of parent communication, logistics such as scheduling and matching clients, and identifying student learning goals. We prioritize strong communication with our tutors for ensuring quality instruction. Required: Fingerprinted/background check Required: At least 3+ years of tutoring or experience educating children. Location: Sessions may be hosted at the Hoboken Public Library, at schools, at homes, or our office at 638 Garden St, Hoboken, NJ Job Types: Part-time, Contract Rate: $35-$50.00 per hour, depending on experience Experience: Tutoring: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person Duties: - Able to navigate Google Classroom and have a laptop. - Utilize effective teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of the subject matter. - Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback to ensure academic growth. - Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. - Utilizes classroom management skills, including maintaining a safe and organized learning environment. - Able to provide positive and clear instruction when working with a group of students. Skills: - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. - Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons and manage classroom materials. - Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
