Job description Hakha Chin Telephonic Interpreters Wanted (Work From Home) Certified Languages International (CLI) stands at the forefront of world‐class interpreting services and has been providing services since 1996. Thousands of organizations across the country rely on CLI to help them communicate with the growing demographic of Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers. The position is 100% over‐the‐phone interpretation. CLI has a high volume of calls, most of which are medical in nature. Services are provided to all industries including insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service and state courts. CLI utilizes freelance interpreters (independent contractors); this position is work‐from‐home, allowing you to set your own schedule. Clients need 24/7 interpreting; you may provide services any time using our online portal or your landline telephone to log on and off. You must meet all requirements to work legally in the United States (SSN or EIN & Photo ID required) and you must reside in the United States. Payment is per minute of service; interpreters are paid for every minute spent on the phone. Payment is issued twice a month, on the 15th and the last day via direct deposit. CLI's Haitian Creole language assessment, consisting of medical terminology and role play scenarios, is a requirement for all interpreters; detailed information will be sent later. Minimum two years of professional interpreting experience (preferably over‐the‐phone interpreting) is required. We are not recruiting interpreters in California, New Jersey, or New York.
