Drivers, Canoe/Kayak Rental Shuttle

Position Title: Canoe/Kayak Shuttle Drivers, Cape Leisure Silver Springs, Silver Springs State Park Overview: Cape Leisure provides visitor services at Silver Springs State Park near Ocala, Florida under a concession agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. These services include the world-famous Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Paddling Adventures canoe and kayak rentals on the Silver River, retail, food & beverage, catering and special events management. Join our growing team of concession professionals and work in one of the most beautiful settings in all of Florida! We’re currently hiring van shuttle drivers for our extremely popular paddling operation on the Silver River. Job responsibilities include: Unload rental boats from the transport trailer and return the boats to storage racks Work on the boat ramp, moving boats to and from the water and assisting guests with boat boarding Provide courteous, friendly and safe service to our paddling guests Give good directions to guests Wash and help repair boats Drive our Ford Transit 15-passenger vans and trailers, pick up paddlers and their boats at Ray Wayside Park and return them to their starting point at Silver Springs State Park. The route is approximately a 10-mile round trip. Keep our vans and trailers clean Complete a daily vehicle inspection Other duties as assigned. Skills and Knowledge Required: Previous experience in a food, retail, attraction or other customer-focused setting preferred, but not required. Excellent guest service skills. Clean driving record. Must pass a DOT physical Must be able to pass a Drug Test Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements: Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend for an entire 8 hour shift. Tasks require consistent use of both arms and legs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and carry for short distances. Must be willing to tolerate working outdoors and in warm interior environments. Must be able to visually inspect condition of facilities and equipment.
